South African activist and politician Nhlanhla Lux is beaming with pride after witnessing a significant milestone in his son’s life—his matric dance.
Taking to social media, Nhlanhla Lux shared his joy: “I had the pleasure of seeing my son attend his matric dance. He is such a great example of young leadership.”
He continued, “I pray that nothing leads him astray from his family and community. Tshiamo, my boy, from the first day to the last, in this life and the next, I will always love you.”
Earlier this year, another political leader, Julius Malema, also shared a similar moment as his eldest son, Ratanang, prepared for his own matric dance. Reflecting on the experience, Malema said, “I made the decision to become a father, and I’ve been putting in the effort. Yesterday was both memorable and exciting.”
He added, “I had the pleasure of helping my eldest son get ready for his matric dance, and I even got to be his chauffeur.”
Malema also mentioned how important it is to him that his ancestors taught him not to be “envious or hateful,” which he believes has contributed to their success.
