Natasha Joubert has been crowned Miss South Africa 2023, in an epic comeback that saw the Pretoria-born pageant queen come full-circle.
The 26-year old was previously the second runner-up in Miss SA 2020, and she later represented the country at the Miss Universe 2020 pageant.
At her first official press conference, Natasha said she was really emotional as her 3-year journey has finally paid off, and she has the all the answers to the questions she asked throughout her road to Miss SA 2023.
“I remember getting on stage and I just felt calm. I don’t know how, it was definitely the Lord, because I stood there and my heartrate did not even go up at all.
I felt at peace, even standing in the Top 2, I was like whatever happens, this was all I could give to South Africa, and with or without this crown, I will continue.
I’m really, really, truly grateful, and so, so honoured.”

Natasha, a proud Centurion girl, says she is blessed to be a brand ambassador for South Africa, as she champions for women’s rights, hoping to inspire young women to fulfil their potential, recognise their self-worth, and find their place in the world.
Her main focus for her year as Miss SA, will be on education, and she says this is the legacy she wants to leave behind.
Natasha Joubert says she’s come a long way from the younger version of her who stood before the country in 2020, and is proud of the woman she is today.
Losing her father in 2013 changed her life, and taught her a new meaning of working hard.
“Entering the pageant in 2020, I wasn’t ready to open up and share my vulnerabilities about my childhood traumas.
I only realised after I had entered, that I had PTSD, and it was only after going to a psychologist that I was able to work through that, and turn my pain, and loss into a story of strength and determination.”
