South African singer Naledi Aphiwe has released a bold new motivational track titled “Bayazibuza”.
The song is a fusion of African dance and Afro-pop and features award-winning producer Goon Flavour and Maskandi star Spikili.
According to Virgin Music Group South Africa, the song is a personal statement for the 19-year-old singer, who has faced negative publicity and the pressures of the music industry while building her career.
She took that tension into the studio and transformed it into a declaration of resilience, creating music with emotional weight and uplifting energy.
The song also carries a relatable message for anyone who may have faced similar challenges.
“Built on relatable dance melodies and emotionally charged storytelling, Bayazibuza speaks to anyone who has ever been underestimated. The song captures the feeling of being questioned by others while still choosing to move with purpose, confidence, and faith in your own journey. For Naledi, it serves as both a personal statement and a broader anthem for dreamers who continue to push forward despite opposition,” the record label said.
“Bayazibuza” paves the way for Naledi Aphiwe’s upcoming EP, set for release on Friday, 26 June, while the official music video will drop on Wednesday, 1 July, marking another major step in the journey of one of Africa’s most remarkable young voices.
