Zoey Seboe has been celebrated for her bravery in raising awareness of her rare skin condition.
She is one of the 30 Miss SA finalists that were unveiled earlier this week.
She thanked South Africa and called on everyone to join her in her journey “Thank you, South Africa. Thank you so much to everyone who has reached out to me for their prayers thoughts, comments, love, and support. Thank you✨✨🇿🇦✨♥️. Let us embark on this journey together.🇿🇦♥️”
Zoey suffers from lamellar ichthyosis, a rare genetic condition that manifests at birth and persists throughout adulthood. As a result, Zoey’s skin appears dry and scaly.
Miss South Africa’s former winners like Zozi Tunzi have broken the mould when it comes to beauty standards, and a new contestant is following in her footsteps.
