Murdah Bongz recently announced the release of his highly anticipated new album, Asante III, which is slated to launch soon.
The DJ’s Asante album series which is a testament to his daughter’s influence, has garnered praise.
Asante was released in 2022 and showcased Bongz’s musical versatility, blending Afro-house, amapiano and soulful vocals.
Notable tracks like Shuba featuring Focalistic and Burning Bush with Thakzin and Ihhashi Elimhlophe, climbed music charts, solidifying Bongz’s position as a leading force in the South African music scene.
The 2023 sequel, Asante II, further cemented his success.
Showcasing collaborations with renowned artists like his wife DJ Zinhle, Brenden Praise and Mhaw Keys, the album deepened Bongz’s exploration of Afro-house rhythms while incorporating elements of soul and jazz. Singles like Only God and Streets resonated with audiences, solidifying Asante II as a critical and commercial success.
Both albums were praised for their high production quality, unique sound design and Bongz’s ability to smoothly merge classical and contemporary sounds.
Murdah made the announcement ASANTE III was done on his social media pages, where he provided a sneak peek of the one of the songs in the album with a video of his daughter listening to it.
