Mihlali apologises to LGBTQIA+ community for insensitive comments about ex
By: Natasha Archary
After being slammed as bitter and petty on social media for her derogatory comments about her ex, Mihlali Ndamase has issued an apology.
Mihlali, who is embroiled in a messy split from her ex-boyfriend Leeroy Sidambe, called me a “double adapter” and “after 9” during an Instagram Live.
The terms are meant to be a derogatory description of someone who is bi-sexual and leading a double life.
The businessman and beauty influencer’s messy breakup took a violent turn recently after Leeroy accused Mihlali of trying to stab him when he didn’t answer her incessant calls.
Mihlali reportedly called Leeroy 78 times and when she failed to get a hold of him, requested that his son allow her entry into his home. Leeroy said Mihlali armed herself with a knife and tried to kill him after accusing him of cheating on her.
Leeroy denied the cheating allegations and claimed that Mihlali’s erratic behaviour was due to her abusing substances.
In retaliation, Mihlali didn’t hold back during her Live and made the insensitive comments about Leeroy, hoping that her followers would be on her side but this unfortunately wasn’t the case.
Following the intense public backlash she received since Mihlali took to her Instagram stories to apologise to the LGBTQIA+ community.
The beauty influencer failed to direct her apology to Leeroy but she thanked the community for their support since the start of her career.
