Big Nuz member, Mampintsha has reportedly been hospitalised after suffering a stroke.
The Daily Sun reports that Mandla Maphumulo, better known by his stage name, Mampintsha was admitted to King Edward Hospital in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal over the weekend.
Mampintsha who is married to Gqom sensation Babes Wodumo, has been unwell from 17 December according to family.
The 40-year old’s speech has also reportedly been affected and his family is said to be worried about him.
As reported by the publication, one of Mampintsha’s family members, Pinki Gumede confirmed that the artist was rushed to hospital and said the family has consulted with a traditional healer.
Mampintsha’s family has been advised to perform a traditional ceremony because they have no faith in the hospital and modern medicine to get him better.
Gumede says that they learned to suffered a stroke and was taken back to hospital a few days later.
However she says the family doesn’t have access to Mampintsha because Babes is reportedly keeping his family from seeing him to make sure he’s okay.
“We contacted Babes and her family and were told not to worry about him because everything is fine. We know he’s very sick, but we’re being sidelined again and there’s nothing we can do. We are worried and scared something bad might happen to him.”
The family have not officially released a statement confirming news of Mampintsha’s health.
