In light of World Mental Health Day, actress Makgotso M shares how she takes care of her mental health.
Makgotso says there are no words that can really describe what one goes through on the battlefield called the mind. And sadly, some end up taking their lives.
The actress is glad that we are now living in a time when we can “educate ourselves more about mental health” in the hopes of removing the stigmas around it so that people can freely get the help they need.
The one thing that’s helped Makgotso on her journey is knowing that she’s not alone, being able to talk about it, educational content, and things like therapy.
She adds that it’s been a pleasure working on the film Survive directed by Mark Pellington was an absolute pleasure.
“I walked away from the project with this echoing in my heart, ‘your life is worth fighting for.”
Makgotso M starred alongside Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner.
