American musician Lizzo has subtly responded to Kanye West’s comments about her weight.
During his appearance on Fox News’s Tucker Carlson Tonight, Kanye made some fat-phobic comments about her weight and lifestyle.
Kanye further suggested that Lizzo was not only unhealthy but that she was not setting a good example.
“When Lizzo loses 10 pounds and announces it, the bots … on Instagram, they attack her losing weight because the media wants to put out a perception that being overweight is the new goal when it’s actually unhealthy”, he tells Carlson Tucker.
In continuation, Kanye describes society’s willingness to accept all body types as “demonic”.
“Let’s get aside from the fact whether it’s fashion and Vogue – which it’s not – or if someone thinks it’s attractive, to each his own. It’s actually clinically unhealthy. And for people to promote that, it’s demonic”.
The “About Damn Time” singer took a moment during her concert in Toronto to address the comments that were made about her weight.
Lizzo told the crowd: “I feel like everybody in America got my motherf—ing name in their motherf—ing mouth for no motherf—ing reason”.
Lizzo did not mention Kanye explicitly, however, she made it clear that she doesn’t care about the unsolicited advice or comments about her weight!
“I’m minding my fat black beautiful business”, she said.
