Kwaito star and member of kwaito group Chiskop, Simphiwe ‘General’ Sibisi is fighting for his life.
The kwaito musician who is popularly known as General is battling stomach cancer and is hospitalized.
According to an article in the Sunday World, the artist has been hospitalized at Sandton Clinic and remains hopeful that he will fight off this deadly disease.
General noted that his problem started about six months ago when he went for an operation where surgeons cut the wrong tubes in his stomach.
“The problem started about six months ago. I went for an operation, and they cut the wrong tubes in my stomach and it’s where everything went wrong”, General said.
Chiskop was formed by four childhood friends, the late Mduduzi ‘Mandoza’ Tshabalala, Sizwe ‘Lollipop’ Motaung, Sbusiso ‘SB-Bless’ Thenjekwayo and Simphiwe ‘General’ Sibisi.
Chiskop was at the forefront of South Africa’s kwaito industry and has achieved monumental success.
General himself has made quite a name for himself, working with South Africa’s top producers like Gabriel ‘Gabi’ le Roux and Mandla Spikiri.
