Khumbulekhaya reunites long-lost families in a brand-new season.
One of South Africa’s longest-running emotive reality shows Khumbulekhaya is making a return after a two-year break.
The SABC made the surprise announcement on social media with a trailer for season 17, and wrote “Khumbulekhaya is back! Back with emotive and jaw-dropping stories”.

Khumbul’ekhaya is known to represent the process of the soul’s truth and reconciliation.
Khumbul’ekhaya encourages viewers to bring healing to their own families and remember the value of “home” by helping to reconcile alienated and missing family members.
Host of the series Andile Galashiwe also took to social media to express her excitement about the show’s return.
She wrote “Our longest running asset still giving quality empathetic television bettering the lives of South Africans. As for me still feel so blessed to be part of this historic movement called #khumbulekhaya on @mzansi_fosho “

The brand new brand-new season starts on Wednesday, February 1st at 21:00 on SABC 1.
