Jessica Nkosi has issued an official statement through Duma Collective on social media about the ongoing trend of people impersonating her on social media.
According to a statement made today, April 5th, 2022, the scammers have been directing people to various social media accounts posing as Jessica.
Fake accounts deceive, scam, and misrepresent themselves to the general public pouncing on unsuspecting social media users
Jessica says she is not involved in any of them, according to the statement, and she sympathizes with individuals who may have been victims.

Nkosi is one of many South African celebrities or public figures who have been impersonated by scammers.
According to Facebook, there are a few things you can do to identify potential scammers on social media when seeing these posts/accounts on your timeline
- Anybody who asks you to pay a fee in order to apply for a job.
- Pages purporting to represent a significant organization or a public individual that have not been verified.
- People requesting that you relocate your Facebook conversation to a less visible or secure location, such as a separate email.
- People requesting money or gift cards in exchange for a reward.
- In an emergency, anyone pretending to be a friend or relative.
- People that give false information about their whereabouts.
- Poorly written or spelt messages or posts.
- When you are being directed to claim a prize by people or accounts.
