Celebrated winner of Idols SA season 14, Yanga Sobetwa, has officially announced her engagement to her fiancé, Ntsako Khoza, marking a joyous new chapter in their love story.
The soulful vocalist, who captured the hearts of the nation with her powerful voice and undeniable talent during her time on the popular reality singing competition, took to her Instagram account to share the heartwarming news.
Posting a picture that radiates pure joy, Yanga confirmed her engagement with a simple yet profound caption:
“God can. God did.”
Yanga Sobetwa’s journey to stardom began when she auditioned for Idols SA, captivating audiences with her mature vocal ability and heartfelt performances. Her victory on the show catapulted her into the South African music industry, where she has continued to impress with her soulful sound and authentic artistry.
Yanga, who hails from Delft, Cape Town was a 17-year-old Grade 11 student at Rhodes High School when she clinched the Idols SA title in 2018.
She won over R1 million in prizes and later spoke openly about the mental health challenges (suicidal attempts, severe depression and anxiety) she faced leading up to her twenties.
Nowadays Yanga is a devoted gospel singer and has released a gospel song titled ‘Jeso O Ntekane’.
She is also a member of a worship group at her church.
Known for her powerful stage presence and relatable lyrics, Yanga has carved a special place in the hearts of many music lovers across the country.
