Once upon a time, Ifani, along with AKA and Cassper, was one of the biggest hip-hop artists in the country, dropping chart-topping hits and performing in different cities across Mzansi.
At the height of his career, he never thought he’d fall on tough times and move back to the township. During a recent sit-down on Gogo Skhotheni’s podcast, Ifani talks about making certain readjustments in his life after losing all his money.
“I’m not the only one. Sometimes, when you go into a hole and find other people who are suffering the same way as you, you find a connection there,” said Ifani about his stay ekasi.
During this challenging period, he acquired invaluable life lessons that continue to shape his life now.
“It taught me a lot about patience. I wasn’t a patient guy. I wanted things to happen now, especially if I paid for it. I didn’t think I was going to go back to the township. I thought I was going to live comfortably,” he added.
