Gqom superstars Distraction Boyz has announced that they are splitting.
Distruction Boyz shared that their decision was made because they wish to focus on their solo career.
Their decision to split was made after they had their very last performance at this weekend’s Cotton Fest.
The Gqom duo initially split up in 2020 to begin their own careers, but they later came back together in 2022.
The infamous Distruction Boyz, which is made up of Thobani “Que” Mgobhozi and Zipho “Goldmax” Mthembu, announce their split just months after reuniting.

The two took to social media to announce that they will be taking a sabbatical to focus on their separate careers:
“Members of the Gqom community, thank you for supporting us over the years! Allow us to take a break from being the Distruction Boyz. Up duo you all love so that we can concentrate on our solo careers for a bit,”
