About three years ago, actor Cornet Mamabolo made the big decision to leave Skeem Saam, a show he had been part of for nearly ten years, to focus on his financial services businesses.
Mamabolo recently talked about how he has been able to take the lessons learned from acting into his business ventures.
“There isn’t a single day that goes by in business that I don’t take from the bag of tricks learned in the school of arts, in performing and theatre-making sessions.”
Even though he is in a different industry now, Mamabolo feels like he is still doing the same thing.
“That is making a living from the art of storytelling, but not to an audience that seeks entertainment this time around, it’s an audience that seeks solutions.”
He promised to share more about how he’s managed to merge the two industries in the future.
In 2023, Cornet Thabiso Mamabolo launched a program aimed at fostering young lads.
Kaya Biz with Gugulethu Mfuphi spoke to Mamabolo who shared details about the program that will help young boys get into the insurance space.
He spoke about how this program aims to equip young men with the knowledge and tools they need to succeed.
