Black Coffee kick started his back to school campaign, via the Black Coffee Foundation to give back to impoverished schools in Durban.
The Grammy award-winning producer made his way to three schools in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal to distribute school shoes and uniforms to over 100 learners.
Three schools were selected for the first visit, Windy Heights Primary, Qondokuhle Primary and King Shaka High School.
This is only the first of many stops across the country for the DJ, who plans on launching a food parcel bank in the Eastern Cape within the next few weeks.

Speaking at the schools, Black Coffee said that the initiative is very close to him because he came from the same background as the kids at the schools.
“I came from the same background as you, but I want to tell you nothing is impossible. I’m here today because of the same foundation you are coming from. You’re here to be sharpened and it takes a village to do that.
We want you to be leaders of this country. I need you to understand that you’re the future. You must take responsibility for what you’re doing while you’re still young. Whatever decision you make will shape you.
I’m leaving you with a message of love and inspiration, you can be anything you want to be.”

It’s not just the Black Coffee Foundation that’s behind the back to school campaign however, and the internationally acclaimed artist said there was a larger team behind the campaign, including the Horatio Williams Foundation.
