Bianca Naidoo is reportedly in a legal fight over her late ‘husband’ Riky Rick’s estate. This comes as the mother of two launches a bid to be recognised as the late rapper’s wife and executor of his estate.
According to a Sunday World report, Naidoo and Riky Rick were never legally married and the couple began cohabiting soon after they met in 2013.
While Bianca was affectionately referred to as Riky Rick’s wife, the widow now faces a lengthy legal battle as the publication reports that the artist died without a will in place.
Riky Rick, who reportedly died by suicide in February, did not have his affairs in order which means that Bianca stands to lose the millions in royalties that the artist secured.
In addition, the couple managed and owned, Makhado Agency (Pty) Ltd, which is reportedly worth millions.
The publication reports that Bianca is now taking Home Affairs Minister Aaron Motsoaledi and the Joburg Master of the High Court to court to file a motion that would recognise her as Riky Rick’s wife.
This would mean that Bianca would then be able to take over all Riky Rick’s assets including the endorsements he secured from an array of products and brands.
The artist also owned a fleet of luxury vehicles including a Ferrari and AMG GTS coupé.
Bianca reportedly filed paperwork which states, “The deceased and I were partners in a permanent opposite-sex life partnership, with the same or similar characteristics as a marriage, after hitting it off on 26 May 2013.
At the time of my acceptance of a relationship with the deceased I lived with my first daughter, who was born out of a previous failed marriage. I expressed to the deceased that unless he was committed to him and myself having a stable relationship with a future, I would not permit him to meet my daughter.
The deceased expressed that he wanted a long-lasting future with me, and we began living together with my daughter as a family during the same year of 2013 at my residential property bought for me by my parents in Bryanston, Gauteng.”
Riky Rick and Bianca lived together from 2013 until his death in 2022 and the couple have a son together. She claims that when she met the artist he was unemployed and had no source of income, while he pursued his music career.
Bianca reportedly shared that she supported Riky Rick financially until his career took off in 2014, when the couple then moved to their Waterfall Estate home.
While the couple did not undertake lobola, Bianca says Riky Rick presented her with a promise ring in 2015 and that both their families supported their relationship.
As per the paperwork, Bianca claims she has the support of both their families to be appointed executor and beneficiary of Riky Rick’s estate.
