South African media personality Basetsana Kumalo recently turned 50 and celebrated in style with a three-day soirée.
The first day of her celebration was themed “The Colour Purple: A Symphony of Elegance.”
“My birthday fell on Good Friday this year, and what a Good Friday it was. I enjoyed every minute celebrating with friends and family,” enthused Kumalo.
The second day of her celebration, which fell on a Saturday, was themed “Gratitude Gala,” with the theme “Best of Couture.”
“And indeed, the guests arrived in their finest to embrace a night of art, fine food, and memories,” reflected Kumalo.
The third and final day of her birthday celebration, which fell on a Sunday, was a Thanksgiving picnic with the theme “Floaty and Fun Pastels.”
“Guests enjoyed praise and worship and the Word, sun, and song under the majestic sky, with God blessing us right at the end with glorious rain,” shared Kumalo.
On her 50th birthday, Kumalo expressed how blessed she feels to have an incredible family.
“My husband and my children. What joy they bring to my life! I am one highly favoured woman.
“On this Jubilee year, marking half a century, I thank the Lord who has carried me through the years. I am who I am because greater is He that is in me than the one that is in the world.”
Additionally, the former Miss SA expressed her deepest gratitude to everyone who has loved and supported her journey. “May goodness, mercy and kindness you have bestowed upon me be returned to you a hundred fold,” said Kumalo in part.
