Anele Mdoda’s dad, Patilizwe ‘Pat’ Mdoda unveiled a new Early Childhood Development Center (ECDC), in Ncembu, KuTsolo village, Eastern Cape where he grew up.
The respected businessman and father to the popular media personality, built the ECDC on a plot of land that housed a mud hut that served as his school.
The Mdoda’s unveiled the center which has a computer lab, library, administration building, secure room for valuable school supplies, bathrooms, and two classrooms for 30 learners each.
Partnering with sponsors and other stakeholders, the Early Childhood Development Center is ready to use and is fitted with equipment and appliances to meet all the essential needs in a conducive learning environment.
Sharing snippets and videos from the unveiling, Anele shared how proud she was of her father for making such a positive difference in the community he grew up in.
Anele’s dad unveiled the center on Mandela Day, 18 July, which would have been the late former President’s 105th birthday.
