South African actor Thembinkosi Mthembu has officially bowed out of Shaka iLembe.
Mthembu portrayed King Dingiswayo, born Godongwana, the respected ruler of the Mthethwa Kingdom.
He is well remembered in history for mentoring a young Zulu general, Shaka kaSenzangakhona.
In the storyline, Mthembu’s character met a tragic end, being captured and beheaded by Zwide at Ngome, near Nongoma.
Taking to social media, the 31-year-old actor bid farewell to the production and thanked the team for the opportunity.
He received widespread acclaim for his performance, with fans praising his powerful portrayal.
