
The SAFTA award-winning soap opera Scandal! will conclude its broadcast on e.tv in June 2026, marking the conclusion of more than twenty years of continuous production and viewership.
“The ever-changing television landscape requires broadcasters to consistently review all programming and scheduling, and we believe that Scandal! has reached the end of its life cycle,” read a statement from eTV.
The channel extends its deepest gratitude to Ochre Media, the production company behind Scandal!, for their unwavering creativity and partnership throughout the years.
The channel also pays tribute to the talented cast and dedicated crew, writers, directors, producers, technicians, and all those behind the scenes, whose artistry, commitment, and passion have been central to the show’s remarkable success and longevity.
“We are proud of what Scandal! has achieved, not only as a top-rated television property but also as a vital part of South Africa’s cultural landscape,” said Helga Palmer, Group Head: Local Programming and Strategy at eMedia.

Scandal! will remain on air until the end of June 2026.
