Popular South African DJ and television personality, Lamiez Holworthy, is urging her extensive fanbase to participate in Slipper Day, an annual fundraising initiative that brings comfort and joy to children battling life-threatening illnesses.
The highly anticipated event is scheduled for Friday, May 30th. Holworthy took to social media, asking her followers:
“Have you gotten your #slipperday sticker yet? If not, you still have time to get yours and be a part of all the fun on Friday the 30th of May.”
The campaign, championed by the Reach For A Dream Foundation, aims to make dreams come true for young patients, offering them “hope to believe that tomorrow is worth fighting for.
“Participants are encouraged to purchase a Slipper Day sticker, and in return, they can wear their favorite slippers to work, school, or anywhere they go, spreading awareness and contributing to a vital cause.
Slipper Day has become a beloved tradition in South Africa, bringing together communities to collectively make a difference in the lives of those facing immense challenges.
The initiative provides a unique and comfortable way for individuals to show solidarity and support for these brave children and their families.
