Academy Award-winning actress Viola Davis and her husband, actor and producer Julius Tennon, are celebrating a remarkable milestone marking 22 years of marriage.
The power couple, known for their strong bond both personally and professionally, exchanged vows on 23 June 2003, solidifying a love story that began on a television set.
Davis and Tennon’s journey together started in 1999 when they met on the set of the CBS television drama series City of Angels.
Their connection quickly blossomed, leading to four years of dating before they tied the knot.
Over the years, they’ve navigated the demands of their individual acting careers while also building a shared empire.
In 2011, they co-founded JuVee Productions, a company dedicated to telling diverse and impactful stories, producing critically acclaimed projects like The Woman King. Their collaborative spirit extends beyond the screen, with both often expressing immense respect and admiration for one another.
Davis took to Instagram to commemorate their special day and wrote:
“22 years!!!! I got on my knees and prayed for love – an active, unconditional love. Someone who would embrace both my gifts and my brokenness. And then my Julius came to me… and I to him. Happy Anniversary, my King. I love you deep!”
