DJ Black Coffee has taken to Instagram to thank his fans who stood by him after his ex-wife Mbali Enhle accused him of assault and filed for a protection order against him.
Mbali applied for a restraining order against DJ Black Coffee in the Randburg Magistrate’s Court in April.
Black Coffee, whose real name is Nkosinathi Maphumulo, took to Twitter to share that the courts ruled in his favour.
“In April I tweeted that I did not, and would not assault Mbali. I did this to set the record straight in order to correct the narrative that is out there. I thereafter chose to remain silent about issue as I had faith and trust in the judicial system.

“Following the proceedings, the Court has ruled in my favour. The interim Protection order was set aside and her case dismissed. Thank you all who stood by my side,” he wrote.

Meanwhile, Mbali took to Instagram to post a video where she was seen crying and accused Coffee of lying in court.
The South African actress said she is tired of protecting Black Coffee, whom she alleges physically assaulted her in their marital home.
“I decided to make this video because I have been silent. I have been harassed, I have been intimidated for the longest of times. And I’m here emotional today because I wasn’t granted a protection order.
“I have been protecting this man for far too long…this man lied in the court of law saying he went under my arm as tall as he is, knowing very well that he hit me, struck my hand twice and then pushed me of our marital home,” said the emotional Mbali.
She added that Black Coffee had even asked their children to stop the case.
“He called my children telling them to stop the case. My child was crying, telling me that he no longer feels like a child any more because of the voice and because he has new siblings and so many other things.”
The South African actress said she will be doing a press conference where she will bring evidence to show how Black Coffee lied in court.

“Today is the last day I am silenced by any cause but my own and that is GBV. Today is the last day, the last day I will speak. So all the media houses – be aware that I’ll be doing a press conference and in that press conference I will bring evidence and I will bring text message, I will bring absolutely everything that was lied about,” she said.
