The probability of loadshedding remains high this evening as power utility Eskom warns South Africans to reduce their electricity consumption.
This after their strained grid comes under pressure due to a shortage of generation capacity.
With many generation units breaking down and delays in others returning to service, the possibility of impending blackouts is likely to occur between 17h00 and 22h00 this evening.

“The outlook for the rest of the week is expected to improve as teams are taking every effort to return more generators to service,” Eskom released in a statement.
Eskom will communicate should the situation change.
