People in and around Tshwane have been warned to look out for a cheetah that is on the loose.
Njozi, a two-year-old female cheetah, escaped from the Rietvlei Nature Reserve on Tuesday.
According to spokesperson for the City, Selby Bokaba, the cheetah may have escaped through a hole underneath the fence.
Reports states that the animal was last spotted between the reserve, Moonlight Road, and the R21 on Wednesday evening.
Officials have warned visitors of the reserve and residents in surrounding areas to be on the lookout.
It is believed that the battery of the collar around her neck which is used for tracking is low, making it difficult for rangers, helicopters, and veterinary services to track her.
The public can report any sighting of the cheetah by calling 082-322-5639.
