Fans of Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak who together form Silk Sonic will be disappointed to learn that they have decided to push back the release of their debut album.
An Evening With Silk Sonic was slated for release before Christmas this year, will now only be dropping in January 2022.
Speaking to Rolling Stone, the “Leave The Door Open” maestros said “We don’t want to be binge-watched. We’re really in touch-up mode now. We’ve got the bones of most of the album, so it’s really about touching up parts that need a little more.… grease.”
“Which could mean redoing the song from scratch!” .Paak laughed.

Their lead single which was released in March, took just 4 weeks to reach the No.1 spot on the Billboard Top 100. The song became popular for its ’60s/’70s Philly soul and funk sound.
As much as the song was well-received, the pair almost split for being at loggerheads over the bridge. Thankfully they stayed the course and completed the track which was also a firm favourite on social media platforms like TikTok.
