Former Miss South Africa, Bokang Montjane-Tshabalala, and her soccer star husband, Siphiwe Tshabalala, welcomed their second baby last year September.
The model took to Instagram to celebrate her daughter’s first birthday with a heartfelt message.
“On this day exactly a year ago, I gave birth to my precious daughter KGOSHIGADI HADI TSHABALALA…,” she wrote on Instagram.
The 35-year-old spoke about the inspiration for her child’s name Kgoshigadi – which means ‘queen’.
“I knew what your names would be even before you were conceived. I chose the name KGOSHIGADI for you years ago because I wanted you to know you are royalty,” wrote the proud mom.

She added that she gave her child the name to assure her that despite what life might throw at her, her name will be a reminder that she will rise above everything.
“I wanted you to know that in-spite of what the world and society says about girls of your skin colour, girls of your hair texture, girls that are african , you will rise above it all because you are a queen ngwanaka,” she wrote on Instagram.
“You are powerful, talented enough , smart enough and beautiful enough. I want you to know you are worthy and deserve of everything your heart desires and all you dream of,” she added.
The model also shared how the birth of her daughter changed her life. She says it reminded her to wear her crown again and be the best version of herself.
“Knowing I was bringing you into this world gave me the biggest wake up call of my life, I realised I had taken off my crown over the years and played small and knowing you were coming, made me dust myself and put on my crown again because I know YOU WILL BE WATCHING, and this scares me so much because I hope I will be the version of myself for you,” she wrote.
