Twitter was lit over the weekend after a video went viral showing Babes Wodumo screaming for help as police allegedly tried to arrest her at a petrol station.
One Twitter user wrote in a since deleted tweet: “Heartbroken after seeing @BABESWODUMO this drunk in Westville this weekend, cops tried to help but she kept screaming help.”

The ‘Wololo’ hitmaker took to Facebook to set the record straight.
She claims she was shooting a music video and asked her fans to relax.
“Guys relaxani, it was during a music video shoot,” she wrote.
She even shared the title of the song.
“Title of the song “Asiwona amaPhoyisa, Saba Layikhaya” she wrote.
In 2019, Wodumo and her husband, Mampintsha, made headlines after an Instagram live video showed Mampintsha physically abusing Wodumo.
The Instagram live feed showed Mampintsha violently slapping Wodumo several times, as she screams and cries.
Wodumo laid charges against Mampintsha, but later dropped them.
They later released a song together which contains lyrics from her viral abuse video ‘Khona iy’ngane lay’ndlini’.
