Babes Wodumo compared to Kamo Mphela
News of Babes Wodumo’s gig comes a few weeks after some of her fans questioned if her team was taking her career seriously.
They noted that fellow artist Kamo Mphela was booking international gigs while Babes has seemingly been stuck in SA.
Kamo recently booked a gig in the UK and received praise for her amazing performance.
“My SUPERSTAR!” Lasizwe commented on the video. Thickleeyonce, DJ Zinhle, Kefilwe Mabote, and Shudufhadzo Musiḓa left flame emojis in the comments section.
Babes Wodumo’s fans felt she was getting left behind.
“Can’t help but think of Babes Wodumo when I see Kamo Mphela killing it in the UK. Saba indoda!” one Twitter user wrote.
Another added: “Kamo Mphela is living that life we all wanted Babes Wodumo to live.”

Babes Wodumo has been focused on being a mommy to her son, who fans only know as “Sponge”. The 27-year-old welcomed her first child with her husband, Mapintsha, in June.
Babes returned to the studio in July to work on new music. Her sister told the Daily Sun that the musician enjoys being a new mom but also misses her music.
Her family and friends are helping her on her new journey as a working mom.
