Celebrated South African actor, Pallance Dlala, recently sat down with Bridget Masinga on the Bside to share some of his life lessons.
Known by many South Africans as the runner-up of the second season of the SABC1 reality competition television series Class Act, in 2011, Pallance has come a long way since then and is today a prominent feature on South African screens.

Pallance shared stories of being raised by his grandfather, the music he would play for him and the lessons he learned through him. He recalls how he was name after his Grandfather’s favourite actor, Jack Pallace.
“My grandfather would play blues classics every Sunday, he used to play all your Sam Cooks, Nina Simone’s. It was such a great experience. just hearing it all over again brings me closer and closer again.”

South Africans can look forward to Palance on Netflix series Shadow, where he plays the lead.
