Marvel Studios have picked up production on the much-anticipated Black Panther sequel ‘Wakanda Forever’. Fans of the first Black Panther will be happy to know that Chadwick Boseman’s character, T’Challa will not be recast and the studio will not be digitally inserting him into the movie.
Instead, the team at Marvel have moulded the sequel in a way that honours Chad in a respectful manner so that it sits well emotionally with fans.
“Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” — the highly anticipated sequel to the Oscar-winning, billion-dollar blockbuster #BlackPanther — started production on Tuesday at Pinewood Studios in Atlanta, Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige said https://t.co/xdzd3dvgJU

The sequel will see other favourite characters return with Letitia Wright (Shuri), Lupita Nyong’o (Nakia), Winston Duke (M’Baku), and Angela Bassett (Ramonda) all expected to reprise their roles.
Marvel’s first Black Panther film broke box-office records and went on to become an Oscar-winning, billion-dollar blockbuster.
South African artist Sho Madjozi released Wakanda Forever after the first film and fans can only hope that the sequel will spark other creative synergies.
“It’s clearly very emotional without Chad,” Feige said before the “Black Widow” Global Fan Event in Los Angeles on Tuesday night. “But everyone is also very excited to bring the world of Wakanda back to the public and back to the fans. We’re going to do it in a way that would make Chad proud.”
Chadwick Boseman died in August 2020 after a four-year battle with colon cancer.
