South Africa is mourning the death of one of the most talented gospel musicians on the continent.
Emma Mkhwanazi (64) died on Monday, 28 June . According to reports, she suffered a heart attack.
Mkhwanazi is the former lead singer of the International Pentecostal Church Choir (IPCC) where she led alongside Priscilla Lekaba.
Many people have thanked Mkhwanazi for releasing songs of healing.
Some of the songs include hymns such as ‘Sefapano’ , ‘Ho lula le Ntate’, ‘Bayede Ngonyama’, and ‘Mehleng ya Bofelo’.
Mkhwanazi sang with the choir for two decades before leaving to pursue her solo career.
She released her solo album ‘Ngiphakamise’ in 2012, followed by ‘Ithemba Lingu Jesu’.
