With just days to go before the highly anticipated debut, the excitement is building.
DJ Fresh recently took on a series of rapid-fire questions, giving the Kaya 959 family a glimpse of the much loved personality that they will be waking up to this week.
Reflecting on what success looks like at the age of 53, DJ Fresh said he’s embracing this stage of life.
“I think we’re built different,” he said, mentioning the beauty of being part of a generation that doesn’t look its age.

In another round of questions, DJ Fresh revealed his three favourite streets in Johannesburg: Wolmarans Street, Pretoria Street in Hillbrow, and Small Street.
While the choices may come as a surprise to some, he said each street represents an important chapter of his journey.
“I love those three streets because they hold a special place in my heart,” he said.
DJ Fresh also reflected on one of the biggest lessons he’s learnt after being fired during his career.
“Choose battles knowing that you might win or you might lose. But if you do lose, you are able to walk forward and not be bitter about it,” he said.
