South Africa’s premier lifestyle and entertainment show, Top Billing, has officially made its glamorous comeback.

The show’s grand return has not only delivered the exact nostalgia South Africans have been longing for, but also marked the launch of the 2026 Top Billing Presenter Search during the debut episode on 30 April.

This is not the first time the iconic brand has hunted for fresh talent.

In 2010, the My Top Billing Dream Presenter Search helped launch the careers of presenters like Jonathan Boynton-Lee and the late Simba Mhere.

Similarly, the Presenter Search on 3, which kicked off in 2015, uncovered personalities including Fezile Mkhize, Ryle De Morny, and Christopher Jaftha.

This year’s winner will join the ranks of legendary Top Billing presenters such as Basetsana Kumalo and Michael Mol. They will also get to work alongside the show’s new presenter lineup, which includes former Miss South Africa Zozibini Tunzi, Bryoni Govender, Arno Greeff, and Sinemivuyo Mpulu.

It’s been nearly a month since the search kicked off, and the auditions have completely taken over our timelines. Thousands of hopefuls from across the country have flooded TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and X with their audition clips.

From serving high-fashion looks and effortless charm to delivering moments of pure, unexpected comedy, South Africans are pulling out all the stops to land the hottest gig on television.

While the internet is already picking its favourites, we’ve rounded up the viral auditions that have broken the internet and have got Mzansi talking the most.
