Married At First Sight South Africa Season 2 contestant, Themba Khosa, has shocked fans after admitting in a viral video that he was married before signing up for the show.
In the clip, the 38-year-old acknowledged that he always knew the truth about his marriage would eventually come out.
“I had paid lobola and damages for my wife. I was aware that this day would come. Second week on the show I decided to love myself and take a decision, and create boundaries. I updated the mother of my kids about how I feel about Nelisa — in that way I was creating boundaries and choosing myself,” he said.
On the show, Khosa was paired with 39-year-old Nelisa Ntabeni, who was smitten from the moment they met. The pair quickly became one of the strongest couples on the season, seemingly unshaken by the drama surrounding other matches.
However, Khosa admitted that he has long had a “soft spot” for the mother of his children and often placed her feelings before his own. In the viral TikTok video, he reiterated that she pressured him with an ultimatum after he confessed his feelings for Nelisa.
“After I told her how I feel about Nelisa, I was given two options: either leave the show or be exposed. I really did not want to be embarrassed on social media. I had to make a choice, and I decided there’s no way I am losing Nelisa,” he explained.
Khosa added that he risked everything for Nelisa, and he stands by his decision.
“They can expose me all they want, but I know that this is the person I have been waiting for all my life,” he declared.
But the drama is far from over. A teaser for the upcoming episode hints at more fireworks, with Khosa’s alleged wife, known as Sponono, set to appear on the show to share her side of the story.
