Dr Pertunia Mathibe, founder of Pretoria’s Centre for Body Sculpting and respected general practitioner, has passed away, leaving a legacy in South African aesthetics

The South African entertainment industry and beauty community are mourning the sudden passing of acclaimed aesthetic doctor and body sculpting specialist, Dr Pertunia Mathibe, known affectionately as Dr Pert.
Dr Pert’s practice confirmed her passing in a statement released on Wednesday, 30 July.
“It is with great sadness that we announce the untimely passing of Dr Pert of the Dr Pert Centre for Body Sculpting. We are heartbroken by this loss,” the statement read.
“She was a light to many, and her legacy lives on through the countless lives she touched. We kindly ask for privacy and respect for the family and team during this difficult time.”
The cause of her death has not been disclosed.

Born in Hammanskraal and raised in Giyani, Dr Pert became a leading figure in aesthetic medicine, founding her popular practice in 2017.
Her clinic quickly became a go-to destination for high-profile clients seeking body sculpting and cosmetic treatments.
Following the news of her passing, social media platforms were flooded with tributes from clients, colleagues, and admirers. Many shared messages of shock and sorrow, reflecting on her positive influence.
