The Springboks have defeated the Italian rugby team once again, completing a clean sweep in the two-match Test series.
The reigning Rugby World Cup champions beat the Azzurri 45-0 in Gqeberha on Saturday afternoon.
Just last week, the Boks beat Italy 42-24 in Pretoria, starting the season on a high note.
Despite being reduced to 14 men following a red card for number eight Jasper Wiese—issued for an intentional headbutt—the South African side led 24-0 at halftime.
While the red card had an impact later in the match, the Boks still managed to score three more tries in the second half.
The team’s last two performances have boosted the morale of both the players and South African rugby fans, as they look ahead to the upcoming Rugby Championship, which kicks off in just over a month.
The Springboks are set to face Georgia in another clash next weekend in Mbombela.
