The Real Housewives of Durban Season 5 has officially wrapped — and it ended on an emotional note that left almost all the ladies in tears and in shock over the events that unfolded.
The second part of the reunion aired on Friday, and it can only be described as both emotional and explosive.
Could Minnie be spending a few weeks behind bars?
Hardcore fans of the show will know that this season was filled with intense altercations between the ladies. However, the one argument that left viewers gasping for air was the ongoing feud between radio broadcaster Minnie Ntuli and businesswoman Londie London Zulu.
What began as a comment about a dress having “amaphiko” — loosely translated as “wings” — quickly escalated into a war of words that brought people’s careers and even parents into the conversation. From the footage, it was clear that the tension between the two women also bordered on bullying.
In unseen footage revealed only at the reunion, Londie and Minnie were shown in a one-on-one attempt to mend fences. But the sit-down ended on a sour note. Minnie was seen crossing boundaries and getting physical with the He Goes hitmaker.
She went on to repeat her derogatory comment that Londie makes her money by ‘lying on her back’.
Support for Londie, backlash for Minnie
Londie has received overwhelming support and love from industry colleagues and fans on social media for how she maintained her composure throughout the ordeal.
Meanwhile, Minnie is facing heavy criticism online, with some social media users even calling for a boycott of the radio station where the KZN-born broadcaster works.
She has since apologised via a WhatsApp message, which was read aloud during the reunion on Friday evening.
But MaZulu was having none of it — calling the apology fake and announcing that she would be laying an assault charge against Minnie and suing her for defamation of character.
Is this the end of JoKu?
The Real Housewives franchise is known for showcasing women who network and share business ideas and their luxurious lives, often forming genuine friendships that extend beyond the show.
One such friendship that captured viewers’ hearts over the past four seasons was that of Jojo Robinson and Nonku Williams — affectionately known as JoKu.
The two have been each other’s ride-or-dies for five seasons, but this season took a different turn when Nonku said she and Jojo are no longer aligned. She added that they don’t even pray together – a big deal considering how open she is about her Christian faith, often referring to herself as Jesus’ girl.
In a previous episode, Nonku was seen baptising Jojo in Mauritius. But at the reunion, Jojo revealed that she found that moment distasteful and hurtful, saying it felt like she needed to be cleansed just to be worthy of Nonku’s friendship.
A emotional Jojo was seen crying uncontrollably, mourning the breakdown of what was once a deep friendship.
While it’s unclear what this means for JoKu going forward, many fans are hoping the two women will find grace and eventually reconcile.
A new sister in Christ?
It appears Nonku may have already found a new friend who shares her spiritual outlook — Bev from The Real Housewives of Cape Town.
Despite the drama, tears, and tension, several ladies did offer heartfelt apologies and took accountability for the roles they played in hurting each other.
Still, with legal action looming, broken friendships, and social media backlash in full swing — it’s safe to say the Real Housewives of Durban reunion was anything but peaceful.
