It’s tempting to measure life by completed achievements or finish lines crossed. The beginnings and endings often get the glory.
But what about the in-between moments that don’t quite count as the start or the destination?
Drive 959 with Glen posed this question to its listeners:
“In which areas of your life do you feel like you’re halfway, in between, or in the middle?”
Skhumba opened up, revealing that while he often appears overly confident, he wrestles with self-doubt behind the scenes.
“When I’m alone, I doubt myself in things people think I excel in. I’m working on my confidence. I’m not there yet,” he admitted.
Glen Lewis responded with reassurance: “That’s not necessarily a bad thing. It’s good to get butterflies from time to time. It gives you that positive energy.”
Co-host Kgomotso Meso also shared her personal struggle. “I tend to overanalyse and overthink,” she said.
“I struggle with imposter syndrome in all aspects of my life. I’m hoping that one day I’ll be able to say I’ve got a hold on it.”
