South African TikTok Creator Simthande Myeza, who was kidnapped earlier this week, has been found and is safe.
This was confirmed by his fellow TikTok Creator Esese Kunene on Myeza’s TikTok page.
“Thank you so much for your messages and calls you have been sending for Simthande Myeza (known as ma ka Thangthin). He is safe and currently recovering. The incident has been reported to the police, and we are allowing the law to take its course,” the statement read.
KwaZulu-Natal police say the 28-year-old was kidnapped by an e-hailing driver and his two accomplices.
“The driver drove towards a different direction and along the way, two other men got into the vehicle and the three men took the victim to a house where he was reportedly made to withdraw an undisclosed amount of money, and was also forced to solicit money from family and friends,” said KZN police spokesperson Robert Netshiunda.
Myeza is renowned for his hilarious TikTok skits, showcasing his versatility in portraying various characters. In one skit, he embodies a jealous woman from a rural village, while in another, he plays a clingy girlfriend unwilling to let go of a man who no longer reciprocates her feelings.
As one of South Africa’s most entertaining TikTok creators, Myeza’s comedic genius has the power to leave viewers in stitches.
