Legendary hip-hop collective Wu-Tang Clan has officially announced their return to the gaming world with “Wu-Tang: Rise of the Deceiver,”
This marks their first video game release in 25 years, following the cult classic “Wu-Tang: Shaolin Style” from 1999.
“Rise of the Deceiver” promises a unique blend of Afro-surrealism and anime aesthetics, allowing up to four players to team up and defend their spiritual home of Shaolin.
The game’s core objective will involve players embarking on a quest to locate each missing member of the iconic Wu-Tang Clan. While the storyline centers on finding the group, it remains unconfirmed if any of the Wu-Tang members will be playable characters within the game.
Adding to the excitement, the game is confirmed to feature a dynamic soundtrack composed of Wu-Tang classics and brand-new tracks produced by the renowned Just Blaze.
The upcoming game also serves as a tie-in to RZA’s horror film “Angel of Dust,” a project that has been in development since 2019.
“Creating Angel of Dust has been an incredible journey. Bringing the story to life through film was just the beginning. Now, with the development of the video game, we are immersing fans even deeper into this supernatural thriller universe. It’s about blending music, storytelling, and interactive experience. I can’t wait for fans to step into the darkness and discover what lies beneath.” said Ghostface Killah expressing his enthusiasm in a statement.
