Media personality Masechaba Mposwa is beaming with pride over her two-year-old son, Lukhanyo Lwezizwe Mposwa, who has already learned all 26 letters of the alphabet despite not yet attending crèche.
It seems like just yesterday Ndlovu announced the birth of her third child, and now young Lukhanyo is proving to be quite the bright spark.
Like many parents, Masechaba and her husband, Ntethelelo Mposwa, had specific plans for their son’s early education. They initially intended to send him to crèche once he was verbal.
She emphasised the importance of their home languages within the family unit.
“My husband and I were determined that we are not sending our baby @lukhanyo_lwezizwe to creche/pre-school until he can speak. Too much going on in this world,” Masechaba said.
“He is 2 years old. Needless to say, we are well on our way!!! My baby knows all 26 alphabets. AND we only speak our home languages in the house. He will learn English at school because clearly the system is failing our culture.”
