There’s no denying that a major shift happens between our younger years and adulthood.
When we’re young, the body bounces back quickly and needs far less daily care. But as we age, recovery takes longer, and things like health and convenience become less of a luxury and more of a priority.
On Thursday, Glen Lewis posed a relatable question to his team and Drive 959 listeners:
“What have you realised you need the most as you’ve gotten older?”
Skhumba didn’t hold back.
“At this stage of my life, I need comfort more than anything. I don’t think I’m in a position to wear a belt anymore. I don’t want to be in jeans the whole day. Slip-ons are a must,” he said.
Glen himself added that he now appreciates the simple but important things:
“I need solid handrails just to go up and down the stairs,” he admitted.
He also emphasised the need for a bit of personal peace:
“A daily nap wouldn’t hurt and maybe having a corner in your house where you can just sit and no one bothers you.”
Skhumba agreed and added another non-negotiable:
“A comfortable car is a must.”
