Comedy superstar Katt Williams, celebrated for his groundbreaking stand-up, Emmy win, and numerous film appearances, has received a unique gift from his hometown: a street named in his honour.
On Saturday, the city of Cincinnati unveiled Katt Williams Way in the Avondale neighborhood, a testament to the comedian’s significant impact and deep roots in the community.
Williams himself was present at the momentous occasion, holding the distinction of being the final speaker before the eagerly awaited unveiling of the street sign.
The comedian, known for his roles in popular films like Friday After Next, Scary Movie V, Norbit, and One of Them Days, and whose recent Netflix special, Katt Williams: Woke Foke became a streaming sensation in 2024, expressed his gratitude for the recognition.
Vice Mayor Jan-Michele Lemon Kearney represented the city at the unveiling ceremony, held at the intersection of Reading Road and Maple Avenue. A new sign proudly displaying Katt Williams Way now marks this location.
This latest accolade joins Williams’ impressive list of achievements, solidifying his status not only as a global entertainment powerhouse but also as a beloved figure in his hometown.
