South African radio personality Penny Lebyane has set the record straight amid some social media users suggesting that that she underwent a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL).
The seasoned broadcaster addressed the speculation with humour, denying the claims.
“Apparently, allegedly I have done a BBL,’ Penny wrote, followed by a cheeky emoji. “Meanwhile, they’ve been blind – and I don’t sell booty. My sexiness is my mind, my heart, and my spirit. My body comes after those.”
Penny, who has long been vocal about women’s empowerment in the entertainment industry, criticised the pressures women face.
“I’ve worked in an industry where you have to sell your body to be respected, and I’ve always detested that. I am the real deal,” she said.
While denying undergoing any cosmetic enhancements, Penny also made it clear that she supports women who choose that path.
“When I choose to change something because I believe change can fix what God made or what you messed up, I will tell all in full detail – because the truth is powerful,” she said.
She added that her beauty is not rooted in vanity, and encouraged others to be fully informed and before considering cosmetic surgery.
Ending on a light-hearted note, Penny reminded fans that she’s been proudly embracing her curves for decades: ‘I mean, already in 2001, “Bootylicious” was my song!’
