Last month, Kaya 959’s traffic reporter and co-host Sol Phenduka was involved in a car accident in Rosebank, Johannesburg.
A car crashed into his SUV, leaving him with minor injuries. This past Friday on Siz The World’s Open Line, a listener inquired from Sol about his well-being following the accident.
The 37-year-old revealed that he was fine, however, he had developed what he believes is post-accident trauma as he has become hyper-sensitive on the road.
“I am doing fine. The airbag hurt one of my fingers. I am not afraid to drive but I have developed a bit of road rage or maybe it is post-accident trauma.
“I am less patient with people because I have realised that negligent driving by other people can lead to an accident. So I am always hyper-alert. Besides that I am good.”
Sol Phenduka on his weight loss journey
A few weeks ago, a listener called in to check on Sol’s weight loss journey.
Sol explained that the reason he hasn’t been posting about his weight loss on social media is that he doesn’t want to put unnecessary pressure on himself.
“I am still at the gym and I am taking it step by step and day by day. It is a journey.
It is a long journey and it is not an extremely intense 3 months.”
