South Africans are in disbelief after the National Lottery announced that there’s one winner of the R100 million Jackpot.
The apparent winner struck the Jackpot by selecting all 6 correct numbers in the Lotto draw which took place on Saturday, 03 August.
More than R140 million was up for grabs in this week’s Lotto, and one person reportedly walked away with the biggest amount.
News of the Jackpot winner’s supposed winnings left social media users in disbelief with many questioning SA Lottery on X.
“This thing is rigged, there’s always 1 winner that bags all the money, I doubt that person even exists.”

National Lottery says the R100 million jackpot rolled over 25 consecutive times before the lucky person securing the bag.
No winners were reported for the Lotto Plus 1 and Lotto Plus 2 jackpots and the jackpots have rolled over to an estimated R8 million and R31 million respectively.
The next Lotto draw will be on Wednesday, 07 August and the Lotto jackpot is now estimated to be R3 million.
