Ringo Madlingozi, a musician and former MP for the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), has revealed that he is no longer an active politician.
The Ngiyagodola hitmaker has said will be focusing more on his music moving forward as that remains his purpose. He was not on the list of EFF members headed to Parliament in the recent elections.
After losing badly in the elections, the 11-year-old party—which was founded following the expulsion of ANC youth league founder Julius Malema—went from having 44 seats in the National Assembly to just 38. After gaining ground in 2019, the uMkhonto weSizwe Party of former president Jacob Zuma dethroned the EFF as the third-largest party.
